WORKOUT: 6 mile taper run- basically, don't push it and just run at a comfortable pace. Here are the pathetically slow stats: I know it was supposed to be slow, but here's why it was SUPER slow:
At work I keep a large jar of candy on my desk for coworkers to take. it's how i make friends 😉 Yesterday, a coworker gave me a Swiss (haha totally just spelled that "Suisse"- the French way) chocolate because he says he's always stealing mine. He had just gotten back from a work trip in Switzerland. I don't really like chocolate but I tried this and it was yummy I asked Kyle if he would run with me after he got home from work. He said yes cause he's a good sport. I really didn't want to run yesterday, so that was an easy way to get my butt moving. I told him if he ran with me, we'd run to dinner and meet my parents and they would drive us home. food = good bribery.
WORKOUT: Ran 12 miles...but not according to my Garmin data below because I was too stupid to remember to un-pause my watch...twice. This was my last practice long run before my half marathon. I woke up at 6:00 AM, 6:15 AM, 6:30 AM, 6:50AM to eat breakfast. I wanted to test a pre-race meal out now, so I don't drop an egg on the course for the real race.
